Donkpedia is the name of the world's biggest poker lexicon. It was founded in September 2007 by the Austrians Lukas M. Hopfner and Simon H. It is based on the structures and guidelines of the free internet-encyclopedia Wikipedia, in fact the founders were active in the German language Wikipedia before creating Donkpedia.
Donkpedia, likewise Wikipedia, uses the GNU FDL license for free documentation, which means that the content of the poker lexicon can be reused for free under certain conditions. Every registered user can contribute to it. So far there are already almost 3,000 articles on poker which means that Donkpedia is the biggest project of its kind.
Although all of the content has been contributed in German so far, Donkpedia will likely expand to other languages in the future. As a first step, this page was created.
